Crossroads Cafe in Crosby offers a relaxed spot for locals looking to drift away from the busier village centre without losing touch with the neighbourhood’s pulse. Situated on Liverpool Road, it draws a mix of regulars—from families settling in for a casual meal to friends meeting for afternoon tea and catch-ups.

The atmosphere is comfortably informal, with the kind of friendly, unhurried service that invites a lingering coffee or a slow lunch. The staff’s attentiveness comes through in simple touches—like serving a pot of tea alongside a pot of hot water for those who prefer their brew on the lighter side—which hints at a familiarity with the customers’ preferences over time.

While the menu leans towards classic, hearty fare—think home-style dishes like Scouse with bread rolls and a selection of jacket potatoes—the café’s coffee offering is reliable and straightforward. The balance here isn’t about artisanal coffee trends but about a dependable cup that fits well into local routines. Homemade cakes complement the drinks nicely, often serving as the sweet ending to a midday break.

This café’s busiest moments tend to be mid-morning through the early afternoon, when you’ll find groups ranging from grandparents with grandkids on the kids’ menu to local workers grabbing a quick, freshly cooked bite. It’s not a place for a rushed stop but rather for settling in, whether you're catching up with friends or enjoying a moment of calm reading.

Crossroads Cafe feels like a well-worn corner of the community, offering a practical yet welcoming environment where everyday comfort food and steady coffee underpin the kind of gatherings that mark a neighbourhood’s everyday life.

Often come here with my Glam'ma friends. Love the tuna jacket potato. Staff and service are both excellent. Pot of tea always given with a pot of hot water. Perfect for me as I like weak tea.

Lovely place to sit and have a coffee/cake or tea and hot lunch. Just far enough away from Crosby Village yet you still feel vlose6to the main shops. Staff are lovely and the home-made cakes are delicious .

Great little place for a cup of tea and a slice of cake. Can be busy, but I have always found a table.

My mother celebrated her 90th birthday recently. Crossroads served a fabulous afternoon tea for her and a large group of her friends. The food was lovely. Nothing was too much for the team who helped make the day really special. It's a great spot doing good for the community and well worth a visit.

I love this place. I have been coming here for years, literally since I was in school and I'm now 34. I live the far side of Warrington now and i still come here for a jacket potato because they are the best I've ever had. The people who work here are absolutely lovely and the food is absolutely delicious. Plenty of choice, great value and a lovely atmosphere. My kids aged 6 and 3 were welcomed and the facilities are spotless x
